Finding boxes was hard.

We think that our to-do list,
Is the most important thing.

The days I learn to hold my tongue,

I ordered far too few.
I thought I could just order more.
Seemed right for me to do.
I put items in my shopping cart.
Much less than the time before.
Until I saw the total cost.
The amount was so much more.

I can’t put my finger on it.
I wouldn’t even try.
I can’t explain the emptiness,
That’s way down in my soul.

I am only one.
I get around by crawling,
